The Doctor Who Project has confirmed they will be releasing a special Christmas adventure for 2025 to be released December 20, 2025.
The 2025 Christmas Special: Santa Claus Is Coming To Betruvia Major written by Hamish Crawford, features the TDWP Eleventh Doctor and travelling companion Maggie Weitz in an all new adventure for the holiday season.
Synopsis for Santa Claus Is Coming To Betruvia Major
Many years ago, a colony was established outside the Earth Empire. Deep in the caves below, a miraculous technology was uncovered. Now, a generation later, this miracle can create anything the heart desires. And since Venk Murray, planetary C.E.O., loves Christmas, every day on this planet can be Christmas Day!
It’s all too good to be true, and the Doctor and Maggie are quick to see its sinister connotations. For while Betruvia Major is a society of plenty, its neighbouring world is torn by civil war and collapse—and yet the people seem oblivious to the suffering and treat the refugees of the conflict with polite indifference. Furthermore, the Empire has heard tell of this technology and wants to harness it for their own malign purposes.
Matters come to their head in the latest application of this project, the creation of a fully self-aware Santa Claus. And with only a revolutionary and a washed-up Santa impersonator to help them, and with the Doctor finding his own faculties affected by the eerie underpinnings of this world’s miracle, Christmas on Betruvia Major could turn out to be a cataclysmic event …M/i>
