In the lead up to Christmas and the New Year, The Doctor Who Project has some seasonal treats lined up for our readers.
In an all-new Brief Encounter, the eerie town of Evansburg, darkness isn't just a lack of light—it’s alive, consuming everything it touches. The Memory of Darkness weaves a chilling tale where fear, grief, and supernatural forces collide. Katelyn, a woman haunted by her past, finds herself drawn to a mysterious stranger—a wild-haired figure who claims to be a time traveler trapped in the town’s shadowy grip. Together, they unravel a horrifying truth: the darkness is tied to Katelyn’s buried trauma and an unrelenting, fiery presence from her past. As spectral horrors and burning shadows close in, Katelyn must face the ultimate test of courage and sacrifice to save her town—and perhaps her soul.
The story is written by former TDWP editor and writer, Julio Angel Ortiz, his first contribution to the project since Season 31s Gunpowder.
Coming in early 2025 is another new Brief Encounter story, Panic In The Cave by Selim Ulug.
