The latest in our Brief Encounters line of past Doctor stories has been released - The Crimean Centaur by Paul Williams.
This story sees the Fifth Doctor land in the middle of the Crimean War.
The Crimean War is claiming lives faster than the battlefield can bury them.
Amid rumours of a monstrous centaur stalking the dead, the Fifth Doctor arrives in the frozen camps outside Sebastopol. What begins as a hunt for a legendary beast soon uncovers a tragedy stretching back centuries. As fear, guilt and war collide, the Doctor must save the last of a dying species before humanity's cruelty destroys it forever.
