| MAY 16/26: THE DISCIPLES OF XYOSIS RELEASED TODAY |
The penultimate Season 46 story, The Disciples of Xyosis has been released and available to download free.
Written by Peter Crew and Hamish Crawford this story begins with the Doctor foresee a future disaster diverts his course and lands in East London, determined to prevent a catastrophe. Everything there appears normal but on checking the archives held in the local library, Maggie notices that there have been a number of “accidental” or sudden deaths and increasing unrest in the local community. The Doctor and Maggie also notice strange monks standing in silence at street corners, and there is a pervading sense of uneasiness everywhere.
The time travellers soon meet up with Artie, a detective who went against orders not to interfere and was suspended for investigating a number of suspicious deaths. While Artie takes the Doctor to the morgue to examine the latest victim, Maggie heads off to the park where one of the reported deaths occurred.
After making a gruesome discovery at the park, Maggie is drawn by the sound of monks chanting inside a converted mansion house, and she watches in horror as they invoke a faceless entity known as Xyosis, a powerful being who is seeking an ancient source of psychic energy which had been hidden by the Doctor when he was a young Time Lord. Maggie is captured and taken down to the cellars where she sees what remains of other prisoners who have been tortured by Xyosis to gain special powers.
Now the Doctor must wrestle against the ancient source of psychic energy which is growing in strength and can no longer be contained, but will Xyosis get control of it?
The Disciples of Xyosis is available completely FREE as a downloadable PDF file, perfect for reading on your PC, laptop, tablet or e-reader. Don’t miss this exciting new chapter from The Doctor Who Project. |
