Kalen is a peaceful planet where its people are about to celebrate the 'Esh'Ri'Ul, an annual national holiday of peace and love.  But before the celebrations can begin, they are attacked by the vicious Skelexol.  Who are the Skelexol and why have they come to Kalen?  What is the connection of Mia to the Doctor's past and why is it everytime the Doctor wants to take a well deserved rest and holiday, his plans seem to go awry?  These questions and more will be answered in this years Christmas special "And The Child Shall Lead" by Samantha Warner and Karen Kalbacher.

The Doctor, heartsick with past events, decides that it's time for a long rest, but it seems fate has other plans for him.  Rather than finding himself in a peaceful setting, he's thrust headlong into Kalen's troubles.  Who are the alien invaders?  Will the Doctor be able to pierce through the falling shadows?  And, who is the young woman that seems to know all about the Doctor?
